If you export to the EU read this!
In November 2021 the EU announced pending regulations to minimise consumption of products coming from supply chains associated with deforestation or forest degradation.
Those will cover Soy, Palm Oil, Coffee, Cocoa and Beef and Wood products.
Businesses will have to carry out a due diligence before placing these commodities or products on the EU market.
There is no model yet for this due diligence but we can expect this to be similar to the framework in the EU timber regulations.
